Alyx Darensbourg is JD candidate at Harvard Law School where she serves as an editor on the Harvard Law Review. Her writing and studies have centered on the intersections of race and poverty in the criminal legal system, gender equality, and alternatives to incarceration. Since coming to Harvard, she has worked with the Prison Legal Assistance Project, Harvard Defenders, the Capital Appeals Project & the Promise of Justice Initiative in New Orleans, Louisiana, and on a range of Restorative Justice projects. She will spend this summer at the ACLU National Prison Project and the Senate Judiciary Committee in the office of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, ranking member of the Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism.
