Annie joined Google in 2010 in Advertising Sales and worked on various teams, including the Technology, B2B and Agency teams. She then transition to the Large Customer Sales team and helped top tier companies create holistic digital marketing strategies.
With a passion for diversity and equity, Annie then transitioned to the Global Diversity & Inclusion team, and works to make Google a place where everyone is championed for their differences.
Annie created Product Inclusion in 2018 after she and a small group of Googlers began experimenting with the notion that diversity could be a focus not just in culture, but in product.
She currently leads strategy and execution of the building inclusive products for all users, a marriage of her business and diversity backgrounds. She leads the strategy around expansion for the “business case for inclusion” by leading the end to end engagement strategy for Google’s senior most leaders. Leveraging her key relationships with teams across Google, she creates and oversees the end to end Product Inclusion consultation/implementation strategies in areas such as User Research, PM, Design,Marketing and more, and helps those teams embed these practices into their core business planning.
Annie is also passionate about philanthropy, and has had the honor of being an American Heart Association spokesperson, focusing on healthy living and heart health. She is also a Hack the Hood mentor.
Elected as one of the inaugural Coordinating Ambassadors for the One Young World organization, Annie works to bring the world’s bright young leaders together and is featured as part of Kruger Cowne’s 30 finalists for their Rising Star program.
Annie’s been featured in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Cheddar, CNBC, ABC, Digital Trends, Essence, the Root, Huffington Post, Martha Stewart and has shared her story with Sheryl Sandberg’s foundation, Option B.
She’s currently an intrapreneur in residence at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the IEEE’s EAD (Ethically Aligned Design) for Industry Committee of The IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems
