Benjamin Weinstein is a first year Master of Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. Benjamin works at the intersection of gender and violence. Specifically, he hopes to expand and improve strategies to engage men and boys in movement to end violence against women, girls, gender minorities, and other men. At HKS, Benjamin works with the Gender Policy Union, Black Policy Conference, and the newly-established Disability Justice Caucus as communications chair. Off-campus, Benjamin is the founder and co-organizer of the Cambridge Forum for Feminist Discussion of Masculinities.
Before coming to HKS, Benjamin worked as the manager of government support for Safe Horizon, the nation’s largest victim services provider. Benjamin is a graduate of Northwestern University, an AmeriCorps VISTA alumnus, and was, at one point, a CSA farmer. He is from Riverdale, New York.
