Ian Abbott is currently is a joint degree candidate at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. He is a David M. Rubenstein Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at HKS. Previously, he worked as an Associate at Morgan Stanley in New York City where he helped shape business strategy as the financial services industry navigated the tailwinds of the financial crisis, the wake of changing demographics, and the onset of increased regulation. During his time in New York City, Ian served as an Associate Board Member for Covenant House NY, and he was a 2017 New Leaders Council Fellow. He is interested in leveraging financial technology to improve lives and promote financial stability within marginalized communities. Ian is originally from Newport News, Virginia. He graduated with honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia with a B.A. in Economics. In his free time, Ian enjoys mentoring college students, watching tennis, and attending concerts with friends.
