Mr. Julius Haag

Julius Haag’s work focuses on youth crime, gangs, political radicalization, terrorism, policing and the intersections of race and criminal justice, with a specific focus on the Canadian context. As such, his studies have led him to the PhD program at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, University of Toronto, where he holds an SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship. He is also an Employment/Outreach counsellor on the Pathways to Healthy Life Choices (PHLC) program, a three year drug intervention strategy funded under the Health Canada DSCIF strategy, servicing the Jane-Finch and broader Downsview community. Through his research he hopes to better inform the discourse surrounding his areas of interest, with a focus on advocacy and informed policy development.
