Patricia Bellinger is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School and Research Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership. Patricia teaches Inclusive Leadership and Diversity within the Degree Programs, the Mid-Career MPA Orientation, HKS Executive Education, and the Center’s Leadership Development programming. A leading expert on leadership development, diversity and inclusion in organizations, Patricia is a sought after international speaker and advisor to public and private sector organizations.
Previously, Patricia served as Executive Director at the Center for Public Leadership, one of the world’s premier institutions for leadership training and a hub for scholarship in public service leadership and behavioral decision-making. While leading the Center, Patricia oversaw a period of dramatic growth in size, scale and excellence, doubling the number of fellows, growing the Center’s endowment and tripling the reach of the leadership development portfolio. Previously she served as Executive Director of Executive Education at Harvard Business School, the largest academic executive education business in the world.
Prior to returning to Harvard, Patricia enjoyed a long career as a top level private sector executive. Patricia led the global diversity and inclusion transformation at energy conglomerate British Petroleum, where she served as BP’s first Group Vice President of Global Diversity and Inclusion. Under her leadership, BP won the coveted Catalyst award for the advancement of women and progress in global diversity. She subsequently served as BP’s Group Vice President of Executive Development and led the BP Leadership Academy as its first director.
