Raushanah Lynn Bowdre is a graduating mid-career graduate student pursuing a Masters in Public Administration degree specializing in international relations consulting, foreign direct investment, urban planning and economic development. A native of Memphis, TN, Raushanah graduated from Florida A & M University with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Spanish language.
With eight years of professional experience, she was a Vice President for J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Investment Bank in New York and Hong Kong as an Emerging Markets Bank & Market Infrastructures Manager. In this role she managed a portfolio of regional and local banks by negotiating a $75 million operating budget and leading market advocacy efforts for capital market regulation improvements in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the firm’s millennial employee newsletter, focusing on inclusion and diversity with local communities. Raushanah has also been a contributor and facilitator of numerous diversity and international awareness panels in institutions like Harvard Business School and Hong Kong University. After co-producing the first “International Black History Month” series of events in Hong Kong and cofounding a social enterprise to facilitate tours for underrepresented groups in China, in additional to her professional life, Raushanah is dedicated to educating the international community about African American culture and encouraging more Americans to pursue international careers.
