Shannon Thomas is a second year Masters in Public Policy student with a passion for conflict resolution. The majority of her experience has focused on the international arena, working as a Belfer Student Fellow with Professor Nicholas Burns on the Syrian conflict and consulting with CMPartners on developing networks in Israeli-Palestine. However, especially in light of the change in administration, Shannon’s attentions have turned more domestic. As a Kennedy School Negotiation Project Fellow, she is authoring simulations to contend with workplace discrimination and microaggressions; as Student Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee, she is trying to advocating for diversity and inclusion at HKS. After graduation Shannon hopes to one-day go into politics to continue to advocate for causes she cares about, including gender equality, mental healthcare, and criminal justice reform.
