Terhas Ghebretecle is a second-year Master of Public Policy student at the School of Public Policy & Governance (SPPG) at the University of Toronto. At SPPG, she is a Director of the Gender, Diversity and Public Policy Initiative – a graduate-led organization that explores identity-based inequities in the realm of public policy. Terhas completed her undergraduate degree in the field of international development at Carleton University. She has a breadth of policy experience working across sectors in non-profits, a think tank as well as for the Government of Canada at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the Department of Health. Additionally, she has worked abroad for organizations in East Africa and South America. Her interests include civic engagement, labour and the future of work, as well as diversity and inclusion. Terhas is thrilled to collaborate with students from the Harvard Kennedy School to encourage a meaningful discussion on black policy issues across borders.
