Kayla Reed

Organizer, Ferguson Action Council in St. Louis

Kayla Reed is a St. Louis-native, community organizer with the Ferguson Action Council in St. Louis, and a member of the Movement for Black Lives leadership team. After the deaths of Mike Brown, Jr., and Vonderrit Myers Jr., Kayla began organizing actions and protests to demand justice. Now as a Field Organizer for the Organization for Black Struggle (OBS), she leads campaigns on police accountability and economic justice. Through this work, she hopes to build and sustain political power in the black working class and fight to ensure this city knows that black lives matter.
