Rev. Alexis Anderson is a proud member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Reform Coalition. Rev. Alexis Anderson is a servant teacher, minister and the founder and Executive Director of PREACH. PREACH is a 501 (c) 3 non profit focusing on the 3 C’s of literacy: competence in basic life skills, computerization and commerce with a special focus on special need populations such as domestic violence survivors, ex-offenders, low and at risk families.
Rev. Anderson serves on the Committee for Health Care Equity, the Louisiana Behavioral Health Advisory Board, and the 19th JDC Domestic Violence Specialty Court Planning Workgroup, and also is a former board member of the American Heart Association, Louisiana Delta Service Corporation and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Resource Center of Louisiana.
She has served as an outreach minister in LaJolla, California and Tacoma, Washington and pastored churches in Washington and Louisiana. She is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
